How is the flight accommodated?

iHUFS will gladly pay for teachers’ round trip flight from their home country. (Example: Canada to Korea and Korea to Canada)

What are the meals like at iHUFS?

Food is served in a cafeteria.  Most meals contain beef, pork, or chicken (meat wise).  iHUFS does not accommodate teachers with dietary restrictions due to the fact that all food is mass produced in the kitchen.

What are the accommodations like?

Teachers will be staying in the high school or university dormitory.  The rooms are set up with 2 beds, 2 desks, washroom, and a shower.  While the rooms can accommodated 2 people, each teacher will get his/her own room

Is there a curriculum in place?

Teachers are assigned an English level – text books and work books will be given that outlines what needs to be taught to the students.  Teachers are required to teach all chapters, but can use their own discretion as to what needs to be taught within each chapter.

Will there be orientation?

Teachers are required to attend a 2-3 day orientation.  Teachers will have the opportunity to do their lesson plans and brainstorm ideas with other teachers.

What are the work hours like? When do we get a day off?

For the overnight camps, teachers work from 9am-7pm.  For non-overnight camps, teachers work from 9am-4pm.  Depending on the duration of the teacher’s contract, they will get 1-2 days off per contract.

Example:

2 week camp (overnight camp): Work hours 9am-7pm; Teachers get 1 half day, and 1 full day off.

3 week camp (overnight camp): Work hours 9am-7pm; Teachers get 1 half day, and 2 full days off.

4 week camp (non-overnight camp): Work hours 9am-4pm; Teachers get 2 half days, and 1 full day off.
